I'm using Cydia and it shows that there is an update to one of the apps I installed. I don't want to update to the newer version of the app. Is there a way to clear the notification in Cydia so the number goes way in "changes" and on the springboard?
i have the same issue with pdanet. i use 1.33 so it remains free and i cannot get rid of the notification. i would love a work around this issue.
a workaround for this is to uninstall pdanet and then install it from a different repository hosting the old version. there are a couple out there and they wont try to update to the new version because they know people want the old version.
which repositories?
do a search on cydia i think one of the default repositories has it. if not add http://iphone.org.hk/apt/

no since pdanet uses an ad-hoc network to connect to your computer. its impossible to be connected to both your computer and another wifi connection.
