I am mostly a Windows user, but I've been looking to replace my 2015 Air with an M1 Air. One of the main reasons that I don't really use it is that I vastly prefer multi-tasking in Windows 10 with Fancy Zones and the Windows 11 beta. I have attached how I snap my windows often when I'm working. I love it as I have a large screen and it lets me look at multiple resources while doing my work. Is there any way to do something similar with MacOS? An external utility maybe?

The most I've been able to find for Mac OS is Split View that only seems to support 2 apps side by side, or just manually resizing the windows myself. Currently I can just hold SHIFT and drag the window to where I want it and it snaps into place.

i would suggest an app called Rectangle. it's free, and allows you to configure your windows basically any way you want using keyboard shortcuts.

this is what the app can do, it's very useful. i'd try it on your 2015 Air to see if it does what you desire.

Magnet is another viable choice. I used it for a while and liked it. That was on a desktop with multiple monitors. On laptops I prefer full screen and currently only use a Mac laptop. With desktops using Windows.
