Any way to get unlock my iMac to work reliably with two user accounts on the iMac?

Hi

I am a relatively new AW user. Try as I might, I cannot get unlock my iMac to work reliably, given the iMac has two user accounts.

It works if I reboot the iMac and then enter my passcode. However, once my husband switches to his account and I switch back to mine or log out, it no longer works again unless I reboot the machine. The unlock my iMac then offers no advantage. I keep having to enter my passcode. My husband does not have an AW. Only I do. I woukd like to use the unlock feature, but I can’t. Any suggestions?

Mine works just fine. I'll bet your husband is logging you out when he goes to his account instead of using fast user switching. Fast user switching is different than logging out. If you log out, you'll have to re-enter your password.

I does not work if we use fast switching or if my husband logs out.

Weird. If I log out of my account and into the other and then go back, I have to input my password. But if I fast user switch, my watch vibrates and logs me in immediately.

I will try over the weekend. Perhaps the new watch OS fixes this!

I've had lots of issues after the latest software updates with unlocking my Mac with my watch. Perhaps you're in the same boat.

Do you have two or more accounts on your Mac? I’ve had this since getting the AW.

I tried it again this morning. Works once or twice. Stops working as soon as I switch user accounts and then switch back.
