Only the 3Gs
No, only the 3G and iPod touch 2nd generation can be jailbroken on iOS 4.0.2
That's an unofficial release (Dev Team doesn't recommend using unofficial releases) and you need to old bootrom.
If I restore my iPhone 4 in iTunes, will it bring it back to 4.0.1?
No, Apple is no longer signing iOS 4.0.1, meaning you can't restore to it.
Where do we check for updates on when the 4.0.2 is ready to be jailbroken?
I know dumb question,but I'm still a newbie..
Ugh, damn. Thanks for the help. How long do you think I'm gonna have to wait for a jailbreak? I really hate myself for upgrading...
Probably til a few days after the 4.1 update is released
iOS 4.0.2 will probably never get a jailbreak, since iOS 4.1 isn't too far off.
So,the message at the top of my Cydia Homescreen that says:"This device has a pending TSS request" is stuck there until the iOS 4.1 comes out?
I went from 4.0.2-4.0.1 yesterday early afternoon and then Apple decided to stop signing off on the 4.0.1..
Probably, unless you unjailbreak.
Oh great..not what I wanted to hear!
What firmware are you currently on? When did you request your hashes in Cydia?
If you have hashes on for 4.0.1, you will always be able to restore to that, and therefore always be able to jailbreak.
Don't hold your breath for a jailbreak on 4.0.2
If you were jailbroken on 4.0.1, you may be able to downgrade if you hit "Make my life easier." Follow these instructions: http://www.saurik.com/id/12#howto
Yep the Comex already said no Jailbreak till 4.1 that should be about a month or so though.
