I use my mac mini with my iMac, and with my Macbook Pro at different times. In both cases I use Screen Sharing to show the Mac Mini screen. On the Macbook Pro the arrangement is fine, but on the iMac I'm wanting to be able to see more real estate for the mac mini, and the window is pretty restricted. In Preferences>Display the only options available are 1280x1024 and 1024x768. Is there any way to give the Mac Mini window more real estate?

thank you!

What year is the Mini? The Imac? What connections are you using?

Do you mean scaling? Your post is hard to interpret. Real estate means land - land is the only thing you can own (estate) with an intrinsic (real) value.

I assume you're running your mini headless? If so, you can get up to 1080p via screen sharing if you "trick" your mini into thinking it's hooked up to a monitor. I've used a fit headless display emulator for the past couple years, and it works flawlessly for this purpose.

seismic, I got a couple of those and they work like a charm, thanks so much!

From what I understand, the integrated graphics are disabled when the mini is run headless, so these little adapters serve as a workaround. Mine's still going strong!
