Any way to off backlight without having to lock phone?

is there any way to have the backlight go out but not have the phone locked? meaning with just one touch on the screen, i can instantly start using the phone, without having to unlock it everytime. thanks!

I dont believe you can. but if you could I would guess that would really drain your battery.

you mean even by dimming the light the battery will still run out? i just want to have it such that it doesn't lock thats all. 🙂

You can set autolock to never and turn the brightness down but it's still gonna drain your battery so no it's not possible.
