I have an iPhone 6 and lately it's been acting weird when unlocked.

Since 8.2 I think, every once in a while when the iPhone was unlocked, the status bar icons would be too big even when the entire home screen is revealed, then they'd snap to the smaller versions that are supposed to be there. It wasn't much of a big deal because it didn't happen all the time, but now I'm on 8.3 and it's happening much more often now.

It seems to be happening every other time I unlock my phone recently. I've tried restarting it, erasing the settings, changing the wallpaper to static, turning off motion effects and basically anything I can think of.

Sometimes I'll unlock the iPhone and the status bar icons will be small (like normal) then they'll get big for split second and go back to small again. If they were already the right size, why did it feel the need to resize them just to go back down to the correct size again. I guess I don't really even know why this bug even exists.

Does anyone know how to stop this bug from happening?

It's a trivial visual glitch caused by something in the code. Not much can be done about it unless Apple fixes it. It's slightly annoying at best, and really much less than that.

I have noticed this before but I haven't seen it happen (or noticed) it with 8.4 Public Beta 2. At the end of the day though it's something so minor and nothing can be done till Apple gets around to fixing it (if it's not actually fixed with 8.4)

Don't look at the status bar when unlocking if it's that much an annoyance. :p

It's been doing this since iOS 7 I believe. The status bar items/text are larger on the lock screen and get slightly smaller when you unlock the device. Probably not a glitch

The problem isn't that it changes size, it's that it starts big on the lock screen, then as the phone unlocks, it turns small and the icons fly in. Then, it proceeds to get big again and go back to small a second later. It should have just stayed small after unlocking. It shouldn't go back and forth.

Yeah this is slightly annoying. I really thought it was fixed in 8.4.1 because mine didn't do at all for the whole first day but not it has intermittently been doing it again but not as much as before.

I haven't seen it since I jailbroke my ip6

It is not that big of a deal on iOS but can you imagine if it was on android, people(some) would be saying how crap android is that they can't fix a simple glitch after so long.

I got an S6 edge last week after sending my G4 back because of the lag and I am well impressed with it compared to the first S6 edge I had. It is not as smooth as my ip6 but it is close and as smooth as my Moto X 2014 was. The difference obviously must be down to 5.1.1 over the first one on 5.0.2

Still think the ip6 is the better overall though, especially when jailbroken. The camera on the S6 is something else, looking forward to what the ip6s can do.
