Actually I'm pretty happy with that, can you imagine someone pocket calling you and leaving a 35 minute voicemail of them walking around?

Not going to lie.. This has happened to me. I got a call from a voice recorded telemarketer and the message kept repeating for about 10 minutes because I wasn't "Pressing any buttons to continue" It's annoying but very infrequent. It's happened twice to me in the last 3 years.

Yes, I had a "friend" do that to me alot thinking its funny.
And back years ago you couldnt delete the voicemail untill the whole message is played and then gives you the options to delete or save etc... So he'd sit there and record a bunch of random stuff like him going to Mcdonalds to order food and I'd have to sit there and listen to all that till I can delete it:D

Yeah, I try and block pre-visual voicemail days from my mind...especially the frickin' automated intro and inability to scrub through messages. (shudders) probably one of my favorite underrated parts about the phone.

Not sure if this has been mentioned, but you could put the call on speaker and then use ths voice recorder. That should work I think.

Edit: haha okay right doesnt work i guess.

They notify you that the call is being monitored. In the US, you can't do it unless you let the other party know the call is being recorded. Apple could be held partially liable if someone illegally recorded conversations. Just easier/safer to not allow it

Not true. Google “one-party consent”. You'll find it's allowed by a federal law and 38 states and DC have statutes based on that.

Sorry, guess I don't find domestic abuse as amusing as you apparently do.

I didn't read where he thought domestic abuse was funny. I only read where he said the woman not knowing the recording consent law was funny. They're two different things.

Secondly. I have no idea what he's talking about. What did Mel do this time and what happened?

Exactly....nobody seemed concerned about her illegally recording the calls or then sharing them with the media....

Of course he is guilty of domestic violence for hitting her (he pleaded to that) and that's terrible...the guy is an ******.....but he didn't hit her through the phone.

Just wait until they can record thoughts...
