This maybe early but Apple has been known to Offer a replacement for a discontinued Product in the past. Considering the 9.7" Pro had a short lifespan and has been summarily discontinued. It is likely that aut some time Apple simply may not have stock with which to repair or replace broken 9.7" Pro devices.

That ‘at some time’ isn’t gonna happen for sometime!

I don't think they've got that much of a shortage of stock. I'd venture to say it'll be quite a while before this would happen.

No. Also Considering Apple is offering the 9.7 Pro as a warranty refurbished device on their site, they likely do not have any shortages of this device any time soon. Also, given the nature of the repair issue with the iPad, itMay be serviceable where they don't need to issue a warranty device if it can be repaired.

Years down the line, plus you have to realize that apple keeps sufficient quantities of refurbished product waiting for repairs.

The bottom line is Apple is aware that people will try to game the system to try to get a free upgrade so its a very rare occasion when they actually do something like that.

Probably like in 3-4 years but not currently. They still have replacement units available. The only time they would is if the parts for that device is no longer being made.
