I'm interested in the S6 and don't have a watch now. I don't think the price drop for the S5 will be >$60, which is the discount for Apple refurb S5 GPS aluminum ($339), so getting a new one isn't going to be a significant amount more than what the S5 will likely drop to.

By the way, there's quite a few refurb S5 today in the US refurb store:

Im interested in the new WatchOS Im hoping its smoother coming from the original (not series)

I do know the health activity is accurate, just waiting for the series 6 to see whats to come

My original apple watch is not working need a new watch (screen popped)

Waiting to see what Apple Watch 6 has to offer

Any of you guys interested?

The Watch Traditionally has very few rumors, especially this year, I think Apple probably will have some type of surprise we weren’t expecting. The Series 5 Apple Watch was a sub-par upgrade with AOD being the only significant factor. I suspect the Series 6 might have a ‘hidden feature‘ that we’re not aware of quite yet, so that’s a pending option for me to upgrade.

I was planning on waiting for the 6 but I got a good Verizon deal on a trade for the S5 last week. $100 trade in for my S3 and $150 promo credit. Pretty happy with that deal and the upgrade.

Smart. Now would be the perfect opportunity to trade in a Series 3, given its value will continue to plummet, performance will be at risk, and with the other Apple Watch models likely to restructure here shortly, these trade-in value offers won’t last long.

Duff-Man says...both me and Mrs Duff-Man are waiting to see what the series 6 watches at which point we'll decide whether that's what we want or perhaps get a better bargain on a series 5. Neither of us have watches yet but have been getting more interested lately...oh yeah!

Yearly upgrade for me so yes. I usually keep the previous model as well for workouts and sleep but if the S6 has the SPO2 sensor, something I’d like to keep track of during sleep and workouts, then I’m gonna have an S4 and S5 to get rid of.

Just waiting for Apple to let me order one.

My series 2 is just not reliable or very responsive lately. Series 4 is going strong, but I like having a watch on all the time so prefer to swap watching while one charges. Series 5 tempted me for that always-on feature but I couldn’t justify it and just limped along with my S2 as my backup just a bit longer.

I am hoping there is a new feature we haven’t heard about with the Series 6. The stainless model is expensive for a yearly update. If there is another useful feature besides SPo2, that would probably be enough of a nudge to push the buy button for me.

Wow. What kinds of things are you using the watch for?

Mainly notifications, Apple Pay, tracking my activity (used to use it at a gym before coronavirus) and dictating replies to messages.

It needs an extra charge during the day to be able to track gym workouts. And there are some things it's just useless for; it's way too slow to use Citymapper app to find out the next bus (quicker to get my iPhone out) or to turn on my Nest thermostat (but Nest have now stopped their Apple Watch app anyway).
