I just think it'd be nice to have a way to carry it around attacked to the iPad..

Phil: "Meh... Just have Jony make ours even more thin and shiny and unapologetically Aluminium. Then we have him do the commercial saying we have been at work on this for years... Then play the video at Spring Forward and boom.... innovation and Money."

Thanks OP, I backed the campaign. Great concept, little risk $$ wise for me. It would be awesome if they do deliver next month.
Not for me but did some googling and came across this. Suppose all you need is a cheap lightning cable. http://www.pocketables.com/2011/02/add-a-stylus-holder-to-your-tablet-for-2.html
No concern about damaging the lightning port by accidentally bumping or twisting the pencil off at an odd angle? It's a clever solution, but the lightning port is an awfully small thing to use as a load-bearing structure.
The problem, as always with these kick starter project, is that it won't ship until January. By then, I'm sure manufacturers will have come up with many different solutions.
Thats what I was looking at. Wanna back it but don't feel like waiting or it...I mean heck I may get it before I get a pencil to be honest lol

Any of you that have funded this, it will be my first time ever using kickstarter. How do I go about making sure I get the color I wanted? I am confused with all of the options lol
They will ask for a color choice later when they send you a survey but I've backed before and their reward choices are just plain confusing, I had to read them like three times.

I have the staple version of this. The apple pencil is very slick, and it does slide in and out a little more than I like. I did order the magnetic pencil cover, so hopefully that will help some.
Really I use the pencil holder just for when it is in my bag, since i can't fit it anywhere else. I put that stick on holder on the top of the middle part of the tri-fold part of the keyboard cover.

I posted a little video showing how it works when you use that pen loop too attached to your iPad case.
I put mine at the top with the loop hanging off the end. This way it doesn't get in the way of using the IPP without the keyboard, and when it is in keyboard mode, it is like a fountain pen stuck in ink.
I will note that the loop on mine is too large, it isn't a tight fit, so the pencil slides around. But at least when i have my IPP in my backpack, I don't have to worry about the pencil breaking.
Thanks for the update! I've been following this but was waiting until it hit the wild before pulling the trigger. Can you elaborate more on why it's a waste of money?
