Anybody get "Salt" to rip?

Usually with these tricky dvd's I play them in "DVD Player" to see which chapter is the movie file and then have Handbreak use that chapter. No problem.

With the movie "Salt", handbreak freezes on scanning chaper 90 of 95.

If I try to play it in "DVD Player" it freezes when I click play movie on the menu screen. 🙁

Anybody get this particular movie to rip? 😕 Or any suggestions?

When I get a PITA movie that handbrake has problems with, I use makemkv to rip, then handbrake to re encode. Just a suggestion.

I ripped Salt (successfully) the other day. I think it's one of the DVDs that uses encryption, I highly recommend using AnyDVD under Windows (unfortunately) to break the encryption, then use Handbrake to rip the disc.

I'm not aware of a better way for Mac, I don't think I was able to successfully rip it using my Macbook alone.

Sounds like Sony Pictures has broken the DVD standard in another feeble attempt to stop people from copying their movie.

Why waste time ripping Salt anyway. I give it a 5/10 at best. Jolene's hotness factor was/is at an all time low.
