Seeing as it seems you can only charge it with your pro do you have any docks that you use for that instead? or do you see it as risky with 3rd party chargers like this?

It doesn't only charge with the pro. The pencil itself comes with a lightning adapter that allows you to charge it with a regular lightning cable.

Just as importantly, it meams you can stand / charge it via the iPhone dock.

Any Lightning equipped dock will charge and hold the Pencil when you use the included adapter, as already mentioned.

Or, Moxiware has a couple of really nice custom designed Pencil docks.

They also do a magnetic sleeve for the Pencil so that you can attach it directly to the iPad, though I'm not so keen on the bump it adds to the Pencils nice clean lines.

Or there's the Quarter from SteelConnect which slots into the Lightning port and you can slide the Pencil in there to stow it away.

Here's my (very much less than elegant solution.)

I like your stand, where did you get it?

It's just the TwelveSouth HiRise for iPhone/iPad. As I don't use it for my iPhone anymore I figured I'd just repurpose it for the Pencil. You can get them from the TwelveSouth website or Amazon, eBay or loads of other places.

Oh, and I just cut a very tiny piece of adhesive magnetic strip and attached it to the side to hold the Pencils cap when it's on the stand so I don't lose it.
