Does it still work under Leopard?
Just wondering because I want a webcam for my MacPro and I find the webcam market confusing.

I need one that will work with skype.
I've been over past posts here before.

Someone at work suggested a Macally icecam but it's reviews online seem lukewarm at best.

I have a headset so I really don't need a mic but a built in one would be nice. I'm also not interested in paying 200 bux for one if I can help it.

    Any suggestions?
    What do you use?

Sure does, I use it with my MB and it works after the upgrade with both iChat & Photo Booth.

Awesome so it doesn't require any special software? I think it's a little funny that the most widespread cheapest webcam for the macpro is a microsoft gaming platform webcam. There's something just wrong about that.

Didn't apple add USB webcam support in Mac OS X 10.4.8 or 10.4.9???
So you wouldn't have to worry about drivers or extra software I suppose.

Nothing special needed asides from an open USB port, just plug it in and go. You are not alone in finding the humor in the fact that cheapest and best for what it does (IMHO) webcam for the Mac is from Microsoft. To be honest I'm just happy to be using it somewhere, Microsoft and other game designers haven't really embraced it.
