I have ordered a Powermac G5 case and I am planning on modding it by incorporate PC parts. I have been looking at tutorials online but most of them only include pics displaying the alterations made on these cases, and few show what items were exactly purchased to produce the outcome(motherboard tray, back case panel, saws used, etc.). If someone on this site has personally pursued modding a Powermac G5 case, please let me know what materials you used so I can reference them when it comes time for me to shop for items I'll use to add on/alter the case. Thanks

    Hi Urban,

I've done a G5 mod, I posted it in the PowerPC section. Here's the link:

    http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=1604767

It's got pics of the finished article and where I bought the needed bits from.

I tried to keep it as original looking as possible inside which made it more challenging, but well worth it :).

You're welcome to PM me if you want any tips or advice.

There's a section over at the tonymacx86 forums that is replete with examples of people's builds.
