Or try reserving the T-Mobile one and then just switch over to Verizon when you get it. I think they would let you do that. I guess the bigger problem is actually having stock.

Typically apple.com orders for in-store pick ups are pay first then pick up. So if OP was to do that, you'd have to pick up the t-mobile device.
