that’s what the whole point of 6.1 since 6.0 was terrible for battery life!

FWIW - I was seeing roughly the same battery life on 6.0.1 on my S5 as I was seeing on 5.3.1 on my S4 - roughly 3.6%/hour not counting workouts.

So far today I'm seeing under 3% per hour not counting my lunchtime run which burned 30% for a 45 minute outdoor run streaming a podcast over cellular. 82% just before my workout (5:52 standby 0:49 usage), 52% afterward (6:44 standby 1:41 usage). Now 48% (8:01 standby 1:54 usage)

95% 2 hours... not feeling like it’s better for me after seeing a lot of you down 1% after an hour.. but we will sew

Numbers for the first two or three hours aren't really to be trusted IMHO, especially not until the watch has been through a few cycles. I wouldn't draw any conclusions from what you're seeing at this point.

5 hours 47 minutes of usage - 42% left. In less than 2 hours, it has used 25% while sitting at my desk.

This is similar to me. Whilst at work and not connected to any WiFi networks-Watch seems to do worse. It’s connected to my iPhone there.

at home, it seems to calm down a bit.

Awesome if it continues like this

44mm Series 4 here. I installed 6.1 last night before bed and charged overnight. Here are my stats today:

Time Since Last Full Charge

Usage
2hr 31m

Standby
11h 1m

Battery Level
79%

I think this is a new record high for me.

What are some of the apps that people are running that actually need Background Refresh? I leave it disabled and just rely on push notifications for apps, plus the complications that I have on my watch face keep themselves up-to-date even with Background Refresh disabled.

no offense, but i don't think anyone wants to see results with AOD off, the whole point of the Apple watch 5 is for the AOD.
Yes, I get that but before 6.1 battery was bad even with AOD so I switched it off. Tomorrow I’ll try with AOD on

I am at 5 hours with 2.5 hours usage with a 1.5 hour workout.
S5-everything on but app refresh and Noise.
Brightness lowest level.

77%

40mm, AOD on, RTW on, refresh off
Standby 5 hrs:18 mins
Usage 2hrs 28 mins (includes 1 hr 10 mins workout)
At 73%, so not really seeing an improvement at the moment. Hoping it improves.

improvements sine 6.0, but I'm holding my judgement on 6.1 for another week, hoping to get back to charging every other day as I was able to for the first 9 months on S4 (13 most gong)

Day 2 on 6.1 for me and my AW5 Ti is fantastic. 4 hours into the day with AOD, raise to wake and a lot of full brightness in the sun and it's at 92%

Battery life is fantastic again! 9 am to 7 pm at 83%. Previous version 6.0 I would be at 30% consistently. So battery life is much much much improved.

Sounds like 6.1 helped a lot of people. Not sure if I am seeing it yet but hopefully will.

Does Anyone know if certain watch faces drain more than others? I currently have this one.

So I see a drain of almost 4% and was hoping for closer to 2% like I see others report here.
Refresh off, noise off, AOD and RTW on. Just finished 24h with 6.1 AW5 and 10% left at 24h of standby and 3 hours of very light use. This is pretty much identical to 6.0.1 for me.
I will try repairing and maybe a reset of the watch to see if it helps.
