I am looking to get the sound sport wireless or the free's

I have read about people having a problem with the left ear cutting out all the time...is this true?

I tried out the Soundsport Free Wireless headphones and returned them within a week. Although the sound quality was excellent there was no sound isolation which is an issue in an urban environment. I had to turn the volume up past safe levels to hear my music.

They also stick way out of the ears and I'm looking forward to a revision with noise isolation and a slimmer profile. I ended up with Jaybird Runs which I'm mostly happy with.

I need sound isolation because I am also in an urban environment

You recommend the Runs? How's the sound quality?

I have had these for about 8 months - working well and no cutouts. I don't want complete isolation due to avoiding traffic on a run.

You haven't had the problem with the left ear bud cutting out? Apparently thats a very common problem with the ear phones?

No nothing. I have accidentally slept in them a few times so that have had not had the gentlest life. I seem to remember when I was researching them, there was a mark 2 version. I wonder if this is an older fault?? Reviews on Amazon appear favourable looking just now.

Hmmm
I may take a risk and buy them tomorrow...and hope for the best
A lot of people have said on the Bose forum website that they left ear loses connection all the time....

How do you find the sound quality? Do you have the black ones?

I have Aqua and the slightly expensive charging case which is good when out on multi-day mountain trip.
I like the sound. I hope you get a good set.

The sound quality on the Runs is very good--better than Airpods certainly though not as good as the Bose in a quiet environment. The connection between the Runs and my iPhone occasionally cut out from interference which is my only complaint.

When I had the Bose they were very secure in my ear and never fell out. They were also very high quality and I'll be looking at them again when Bose comes out with a revision.

Did the left ear phone keep dropping connection like many have complained to happen?

I don’t have any problems with left side cutting out. I believe Bose has addressed the issue with firmware updates.
Nah people still have the issue as said above^

The sound did cut out on occasion on the left side though not terribly often. My Runs cut out more frequently.
so its still happening?

I have the Bose wireless - not the the free's - and don't have any issues with them. Much better sound isolation than my AirPods (no surprise there) and better overall sound quality. Their size doesn't bother me (I also have the JayBird BlueBuds with Comply tips but prefer the Bose).

How long does the battery last on the wireless?

I don't have the free's but I don't find the wire between the earpieces to be an issue of any kind (I also own the AirPods so I know what wire-free is like).
How do you find out how much battery you have left?

So for me you would recommend the wired one's I am guessing..?

If I were buying again today I would still go with the wired ones because: the price difference is substantial ($50 at Amazon); a number of reports of connectivity issues in Amazon reviews; and the wire does not bother me. If the price were the same, I'd give the truly wireless version a try and return them if I ran into connectivity issues.
