Update on New Johnstown:
Rapid progress 😀, except for.... WAITING.... Remember the days when you couldn't unlock certain items until reaching a star level?.. lol
Waiting for land to clear, buildings with population to build, community things to build, businesses to level up.... Before, I had it under control, but now I'm trying to rush. Again, there is no other way without more greenbacks. If anyone is green buck rich, please franchise me. I'm not desperate, but it would give my cluttered, messy new town, a little breathing room.
On the up side, my stars are actually going somewhere, for a change. Hahahaha. Also, I got all new housing. The few businesses I can find, are better than my first 10. In a day, I've gotten to star level 24, population level 17, and I'm approaching the same income receipts, pretty quickly. Population would be higher if all buildings would build instantly 🙁
You all are awesome 😀 I'm already looking forward to the update, because at this rate, I should be back to level 50 in no time!! Woo hoo!!

I have been a silent reader since page #1 of this forum. It has been a great pleasure reading and learning from all of you. I have a challenge now that I can't seem to fix. I have met a few great mayors, who have been giving me great gifts (my only source of green bucks). But lately, I can't get into some of their towns. Every time I got in their town, my Ipad (original) kicked me out, and my game got reset to the last time I played. It is really annoying not being able to gift back to my fellow mayors. Have any of your experienced the same thing?

So far I have been getting quite alot of gifts, from various people over the past 2 days, and I have been adding them to my friend list, so I can eventually return the favor.. As I have said, I wish that I have MORE gifts so I can return favor to those who gifted me, and for the extras that I just wish to gift mainly because I wish to. Kudos to all who sends gifts, and as I go down the lists of people in my friends list (oh dear its getting long) I shall return the favor 🙂 Guess I better open up a notebook and write down all the names of towns and gift them back each day..

You can view and navigate the site just fine on your device's web browser. ProBoards detects that you are on a mobile device and sends a pop-up that an App is available. I do not believe you made any errors, your town looks fine. The difficulty is because, as far as MT2 is concerned, the high popularity towns are in "known" locations such as New York City, New York USA, San Francisco, California USA, Paris France, Berlin Germany, Rome Italy, etc. Without being a criticism in any way, people are not as familiar with Beijing, China. Anyone physically located in a small town also has the same disadvantage of not having many, if any, known/popular businesses near them. If a business is not purchased/franchised or even visited (Check-ins), the popularity will not increase. That is the reason why many have changed their locations. There are indeed other players that created wonderful towns without changing locations, and while it is slower to progress, those towns are no less successful.
You mentioned you need coins. One way to quickly generate coins is to remodel all your businesses into "Offices" and then buy Stock Exchanges. Each SE boosts revenue by 20% and stacks. Read my post #1057. I wrote about stacking Wonders (including the Stock Exchange) and about deciding to sell or not to sell.
You will also need Booyah Bucks.
There is a lot of information out there. Don't be afraid to ask questions.

I agree completely! I appreciate his franchises as well. I always include a gift of 'pop' for cAndyland in my daily travels. Even if he didn't franchise I'd still send him a gift for the kindness he's shown in franchising....(but nobody has to tell him that....shhhhhhhh)...lol.

I just franchised locally from someone & it went from 46xx in their town to 649 in mine :-/
normally I fanchise premium skins, but I went for population; for naught!😱
