Anybody pre-ordered way late?

So I was gonna preorder it the minute it went live, and was even able to get the 4/24 day, but I wasn't really sure about it and didn't press the final pay button.

Anywhoooo, I went to a local Apple Store and tried it in person, still wasn't sure..until Sunday morning when I finally went, "okay, I know I will order one and I am just convincing myself right now, so might as well put in the order."

So there it is, June delivery with hopes to get it a few weeks earlier (hopefully mid-late May.

Anybody else on the same boat but can't wait to get it? Hopefully Apple lets customers to buy one in person, then I will just do that and cancel my back ordered AW:cool::cool:
 
Yes. I preordered today. I will try to order early 4/24 morning to see if in store pickup is available and if so, I'll cancel today's order. Mine now just says available to ship:June. Don't know if it's true
 
My birthday is at the end of May, but I wanted to see how well the watch is reviewed once the general public gets it. Now there's no way I'll get one in time for my birthday, so I might wait until Christmas. No big hurry for me, it's not a 'must have'.
 
I was logged in at 12:01, but only to book the first try-on appointment I could get. I knew I was risking them selling out, but wanted to be sure. Had my try-on Friday, 4/10 at 10:15, bought a gift card to cover my choice, then ordered when I got back to my office around 11:30. June shipping date, but I'm confident in my selection and will be happy when it arrives.

What do you mean by "order early 4/24 morning"? I thought there would be no inshore stock? and how would it show up as in store pick up?

Don't count on it. Apple would have a lot of frustrated customers if they started allocating stock for in-store pickup for orders placed 4/24, before shipping to customers that pre-ordered 4/10.

I agree. Apple has made a HUGE deal about preorder only and no in store inventory until it catches up. It would piss off a LOT of people to mess with that and would cause a lot of preorders that have NOT shipped to get cancelled as people try to run to get them in stores.

I for one am SICK of people in the big cities getting access that is impossible if you do not live near a flagship store.
 
I just pre-ordered a second watch today. Delivers to be expected 15/5/15 - 28/5/15. Not too bad. It's SS White sport band.
 
I was planning not to order (how would I justify the expenditure, 1st gen concerns etc)...started considering the Sport model around Weds last week, but really wanted the SS model.

Anyway, launch day came & I purposely avoided logging onto the Apple Store to avoid temptation....but on Saturday, I logged onto the Apple Store out of curiosity....the only model that still had a delivery date of 24th April to 8th May was the SS Watch 38mm with Black Classic Buckle, which is the model I feel is best for me (want something I can wear with formal clothing, 5ft 2" male with skinny 150mm wrists!). This watch was waiting for me! Pulled the order trigger mid afternoon on Saturday & have a delivery date of 24th April to 8th May. The availabilty date had slipped to June by Saturday evening, so I ordered just in time :)

Well at least I finally preordered and it does say June and I hope that doesn't slip to July.
 
I pre ordered the sports the minute it went live for 4/24 delivery, but then ordered the SS 2 days later as I haven't completely decided.

I'll probably stick with the sports as I still can't justify $300 extra for SS, been to 2 appointments, tried on multiple bands, etc
