I'm curious how much you sold it for or how much you're selling it for?

I just sold my X 256GB for $720.

Was this a good sale? I actually got more than what I thought I'd get.

Any thoughts?

Friend of mine told me $850 but I’m unsure if I want to sell it. If I do, he’ll take it for $850. There’s not a single scratch on it and the battery has 99% capacity left. Will be a year old in late November/early December.

That seems a little low. I think you could have gotten $800 for the 256gb X.

I also feel like it’s a little low but it wasn’t easy. It was posted for about two weeks on different platforms and there was not a lot of interest. Also, a lot of other X selling for $650 or so.. I’m happy I sold it before the 12th.

I will be selling my pristine unlocked iphone X 256gb with apple care and would like to get 775-800 for it. Unfortunately, I have to wait until I get a new phone before shipping it.

All of these numbers seem a bit low, I sold my 256 X in Mint condition with zero scratches with a case and shield no apple care +, I cancelled it and got a 109.00 check instead. I sold the X for 870 3 Weeks ago. In my area they were being all listed for 900 and being sold for a bit over 850.00

I sold my Space Gray 256GB X on Swappa fpr $800.

It’s crazy to me iPhones lose $400 and tax on the full amount in a year or ... in case of X less than a year. That’s the norm now. That’s why I didn’t wanna sell my 7plus and get mid 400 for a $879 phone that still works great

But if you are gonna upgrade anyways better return than an android. The golden resell days are over though with depreciation and a saturated market

Tell me about it and the Watch resale values are a joke.

Had some chode offer me $230 for my pristine Space Black Steel LTE S3 on swappa and I’m including two bands, have original box and the charger. Freaking ridiculous.

Well to be fair you waited till the apple announcements went out. If you had sold the watch 3 weeks ago you could had gotten double that.

Oh yeah Apple Watch resell is really bad. I love my watch but I feel like I’ll only ever get Em on sale and possibly generations behind. But the screen change is looking sweet for aw4. Still I can wait it out a while

But it’s like you can sell an iPhone 2 years later instead of 1 and probably get roughly the same amount

Im sure my 7plus would still fetch for lower 400 right now. And did last year too leading up to x and 8plus release

I received so many $600 and less offers it’s ridiculous. I also saw many devices posted for $650 or less on letgo and offerup. It’s hard out there right now.

Like other posters said. The golden days of iPhone resells are over. U take a huge hit the first year these days on price depreciation.

I can get a base 64gb iPhone X for the same $600-650 prices like new condition the past 30 days.

Honestly you are better off keeping it for year 2. Sell it in August/Sept 2019 for around $400. So ur average cost per year is $300/year.

Or wait for for promo on phones like I do these days.

I got a $300 gift card from Sams club for my iPhone 8 Plus. Waived activation costs.

So it cost me literally WITH TAXES $840 ($799 msrp plus taxes) minus $300 gift card. So $540 net cost out the door.

I can easily resell my 8 plus for $450-500. So my cost of ownership for 10 months (I got phone early November 2017) is literally almost free to own for a year.

I checkout some of the prices for the iPhone X, just for reference and call a friend to sell it and I got offer of $800. I said sold! Now, I am a SE guy until December. I think the Xs will have 2nd generation enhancements of the X that make the it not sellable.

I paid £1150 for my iPhone X 256GB. I've locked in £620 on Mazuma Mobile (a trade in side).

I maybe able to get £700 on eBay, but the slightly extra sum of money isn't worth the eBay hassle.

sold my 64 gig for $785
Better price then me which has 256GB in storage and is mint too! Still under warranty till end of January. No extended Applecare plan. Factory unlocked and is an international version with additional radios in it. Felt that the price will fall after the 12th so had to act fast and he always wanted an iPhone X! It is his now! Got the check in hand! Felt like a good deal for both party since he is protect with the Apple warranty still and I am free to shop for a new Xs.

As good as these phones are nowadays, unless you've got money to burn, you might as well keep your phone for at least 2 years. Then the new one will have enough upgrades to feel like it was worth it.

This is how I felt too, needed to act fast to avoid further price drop. All in all I’m not too disappointed in what I was able to felt for it.

where at?
This is a good question, living in NYC the saturation level of people selling their phones is pretty high.
