Well, that's the question, are they counting Friday as the first business day? If so, the last day to ship them was today.
I consider a business day to start at around 8 am, give or take a couple of hours. So I count that Friday. Unfortunately I'm sure Apple will claim that it doesn't count, but in my opinion they had the order before their business day, so they had all that day to start processing the order (which they did since the card was pre-authorized which in my opinion means the process began.)
I have called a couple of times in the last couple of days. The person I spoke with yesterday blamed FedEx for their inability to pick up *MY* package since the weekend. The person today was honest and simply blamed themselves because they are swamped with orders. I was very nice, friendly and polite with her. I never asked for a freebie nor did I hint at wanting anything. She said that it should ship very very soon.
However, if I don't wake up to a shipping notification, I will call, and while I won't raise hell, I will be firm and I WILL ask for some sort of compensation. I'm just afraid they'll claim that the 5th day is tomorrow, not today.
It's just frustrating to see people that ordered the exact same model after me to already have theirs shipped.
