Was yours engraved? Mine with engraving was ordered at 6:19 Pdt and I am in the 1 to two week delivery time frame.

My 16gb 3G black AT&T not engraved ordered at 4am est. Friday with the 3-5 day guarantee Is still "prepared to ship" (has been since Sunday).

The 16gb 3G black AT&T engraved I ordered for my mother in law on a separate credit card at 8am est. Friday with 5-7 day guarantee has shipped. I received her fedex information at 12am today.

Honestly wtf? Something must be going on with my order, what is the deal? What do you suggest I do, I have called once on Wednesday and they assured me it would ship out in the 3-5 day range and it quite obviously has not. I just don't understand how her 5-7 days will get here before mine and it is the exact same model.

So I had a bet with a friend who ordered a 16gb wifi at the same exact time that mine would get here first. He received his this morning, luckily I ended up photoshopping someone else's fedex delivery info from another thread to show I received it yesterday and sent it to him after work accompanied with a pic from the unboxing thread. I won the case of beer but somehow I feel like i am really the loser, as he is sitting with his device in hand while I am "prepared to ship" for the 4th day in a row.

You are the loser if you are scamming your "friends".

Call, give them both order numbers and ask for an explanation.

They'll probably come up with some BS about how engraved models are handled, but the truth is that engraved models require more handling time. At the same time, it can't be assigned to anyone else so once it's engraved, it's immediately assigned to YOU.

I would say that yesterday was the 5th day too so they are now outside of the agreed-upon shipping window when you placed your order.

While this may be true I think the issue is actually that they are entirely different resources pools. I think a lot of people ordered non engraved because they thought it would be faster so those lines have more people waiting in them.

Oh, come on. You already said a friend. Do you really have to "scam" a friend in a bet for a case of beer?
