I still have mine. It's just fine. It's fast enough and has a good camera. I'll upgrade when Apple releases something worth upgrading to. Definitely not this year.

I know. The Dark Mode non Apple icons don’t look as nice as the light mode ones. Plus your Wallpaper looks dull. I think you should pick a bit brighter color for your Homescreen Wallpaper
It's all subjective....homie. I'm very happy with the way it looks.;)

Edit: Maybe a screenshot gives a better representation...

Still using my 13 PM with ~88% battery life. It's about 3 yrs old, refurbed. Still works for me.
Will see what the iPhone 17 offers this upcoming autumn. Don't need, want or care about AI.
I could just replace the battery and keep for another ~3 yrs or so, esp. before Apple stops iOS support for iOS 17.x.x. with security updates.

Green has always been my favorite color. After 5 years of having the iPhone 8 Plus(which was my favorite iPhone at that time), I still wasn't convinced to update when the 13PM's came out in Sept. 2021. When the Alpine Green came out in March of 2022, I decided that I was probably going to go for it....and by July I finally finalized that decision. Now, I am going to have a really hard time giving up this beauty unless they have another green when I decide it's time to update, which I don't see happening for at least a couple more years. Like I said in my op, my 13PM is the absolute best smartphone I have ever had and I don't see anything in the newer iPhones worth giving it up yet. Hoping by the time I'm ready, Siri is actually smart.😏

Edit: Just to clarify. I'm not disparaging the Sierra Blue in any way. I think it is pretty too, but Green has just always been my favorite color.View attachment 2483078

I can't believe you kept the iPhone 8 Plus for 5 years. My upgrade cycle is 2-5 years. In this timeframe they have plenty of time to improve the camera system, the screen and all the other aspects of the iPhone. I remember when the iPhone 13 Pro Alpine Green came out and I had second thoughts saying to myself, "Maybe I should've waited a little longer to buy the iPhone 13 Pro." After a while my doubts settled down.

I also have a really hard time giving up on my 13 Pro, but I would be lying if I would say that I still love the lightning connector after I transitioned everything I use to USB-C. The iPhone 14 Pro and the subsequent series didn't impress me so much. Let's wait and see what Apple has in store for the autumn event. Maybe, maybe, I might change my mind and who knows, but I have some doubts. Apple Intelligence is in its infancy so that's not a reason to entice me to buy a new iPhone. But there are a few things I take into considerations when I am planning on buying a new iPhone. A better camera system and battery, USB-C with faster wired charging speed than the iPhone 16 Pro series and the satellite connection for emergency situations are an important deciding factor to take into consideration.

yup, got it replaced under AC+ (FceID started to fail) not quite a year ago, battery health is now at 94% and typically I'm around 50-60% battery at night time when I put it on the charger overnight.
No complaints really, camera is still good, I've seen download speeds (TMobile) of 700+mbps so nothing to complain in that camp either.
Best of all: no Apple Intelligence ;)

Better camera (10x optical zoom) would get me to upgrade, and then the foldable one, so maybe 2025/6.

Yep still using a 13PM and wouldnt change it this year if I wasn't developing apps for a living but a few things have changed and probably more will that means I need to have a more current model to test on.
Battery has been excellent. Photos fab. Someone in the family will get it come September.

My wife still uses her 13 Pro Max. Phone is a champ. Battery is still great. Still takes great photos, great display, ProMotion. It's been an amazing phone for her. Will upgrade her this year due to storage-some other perks will be the USB-C and Always-On-Display upgrading to new one.

Yep...5 years, and then I got $140.00 trade-in for that 8 Plus on my 13PM. Not bad in my estimation. Yeah, better camera(I like to take photo's). USB C, better battery, and a smarter Siri....would be a must for my trade-up. Don't care about AI, there are a ton of apps for that. As it stands, my iPad Pro has the AI, and it really sucks battery...at least with Image Playground. A trade-in is still a couple years off for me though.

How many battery cycles does your iPhone have? I bought my iPhone 13 Pro on launch day on 24th of September 2021. On October 16th 2024 a day before I replaced the original battery I had 813 cycles and the status was degraded at 79%. On October 17th the Apple employee proceed with my request and replaced the battery. It's strange because I have 811 cycles on my MacBook Pro M1 Max and the battery is at 86%.
I tested my iPhone 13PM and was stunned to see coconutbattery 4 showing charge cycle of:

193.

Will post screenshot later after work (graveshift).

At first I used good old 2015 MacBook Air then on a new toy called Mac mini M4 and both came up with same result. I updated coconutbattery and still the same. This baffled me. 193?

Maybe there's some confusion here?View attachment 2482531 You answered a question I didn't ask...i.e., have you upgraded to an iPhone 13PM yet...when my question was, "Anybody Still Rocking an iPhone 13PM?"...key words being, "still rocking."View attachment 2482532
"still rocking" implies you think the 13PM is an ancient phone that is unlikely to still be in use. It's only 3 years old. It ain't "old".

Someone was pointing out that they're still "rocking" an even older phone.

You post silly questions, you get silly answers.

I'll be sure to take your wise and learned words under deep consideration next time I am tempted to post such "silliness" my liege. Heck, I'll even come seek out your personal counsel before I make such a grievous error again, oh wise, wonderful, and thoughtful jester.

Oops! Too late...🙄

BTW...A lot of people are positively answering my "silly" question.😏 And heck yeah, I'm rocking a 13PM.

Most definitely - also at 84% battery health. While I liked the bigger screen size initially, turning on the hotspot feature and using my iPad mini has been a bit more convenient in most situations. That, the fact my wife’s 16 feels a bit better in the hand and the fact this is the *last* device in my house to still use the lightning connection does have me pondering an upgrade though

No. As my signature states, my first Mac was a 1993 Mac Color Classic. The Apple Lisa was January 1983.
The 90s weren't that good for Apple. My first Mac was an iBook G4 (2005) in 2012. I almost got the chance to use an iMac G3(1998) but I missed out.Cant find one anymore in my country.
