Hey guys,

I have moved from vodafone (UK) to 3. vodafone have emailed saying i can unlock via itunes. heres a copy of the email

The iPhone has now been unlocked – Please replace the SIM (use a SIM which has never been used with this iPhone) and connect to iTunes or perform a software restore via iTunes.

Was just wondering if anyone has done this before? I've connected to itunes and not had a pop up or anything. just wanted to know what to expect/how to unlock.

Don't really fancy restoring to 5.1 or i'll loose my 5.0.1 JB and unlock with the gevey sim. unless thats the only way to get the unlock? can anyone confirm?

cheers

All sorted now, turned it on and off while plugged into itunes. just had to re-activate it 😀

nice to be on a cheaper plan for a bit. £15 a month with unlimited data, 3000 texts and 300 minutes untill the new iphone comes out 😛

Thousands have IMEI unlocks available (depending on carrier)
But many, many more do not.
You are one of the lucky few 🙂
