You know now that you say that I do have an edge to edge. I’m wondering if that’s it but I never considered it.
Yeah the Sheath front lips hugs on the screen front quite a bit.
My non edge to edge tempered glass just a hair thin or two from touching it.
That probably it.

I have 5 different colored Sheaths and none of them do what you described.

Edit: I see the posts about the edge to edge screen protector. That looks like that may be the reason.

I’ve gotten three sheath cases and all three have this issue on the sides the phone where it feels like if I squeeze the sides it almost feels like a popping feeling where the lip of the case isn’t quite over the lip of the phone on the sides. Is that just me or is anybody else have that issue?

I and multiple family members all have Sheaths and have never had this issue. Hit up their customer service and they'll give you a replacement. Did you buy yours recently? People on this thread had issues way back when the iPhone 12 first launched, but Caudabe put out a revision and it sounds like everyone's been happy with theirs since. FWIW, the ones we've had have all been perfect right out of the box.

This spigen fits perfectly.

I had this issue a few years back and reached out to them. They said they make their own screen protectors to fit their cases. I've always just bought theirs since and haven't had any problems. You can tell they're not edge to edge but it's close enough for me. We're talking less than a 1mm gap probably.

My Ocean Blue Sheath arrived today (4 days early). The feel of the case is definitely different than what I’m used to. I guess over time I’ll get used to it. I like how the color matches to the Pacific Blue. I also have a edge to edge screen protector that fits perfectly with the case. You literally can’t tell I have one on now with how the Caudabe case hug the sides. I can now say I’m a Caudabe fan for life!

As I noted earlier, I don't have that issue on the Ocean Blue Sheath; however, I just received the gray Sheath I ordered, and it does seem to be that way. It doesn't really bother me too much, but it's definitely noticeable if I push directly on the sides, and it's not an issue on the Ocean Blue one I have. Strange.

I contacted Caudabe about it and the rep I talked to asked for pictures (totally understand that), I sent them and I explained that it wasn’t a visible thing but more of a feeling thing, she then tried to tell me that because the form factor is different that the case is going to fit different than the 11 pro case. She then sent me a replacement black and a grey as well (very kind of her). The fit was still not any better. I’m waiting on some different screen protectors to see if its the screen protectors thats causing the issue.

I recently got a gray Sheath and mine also has that issue. Rather disappointed given the “best case” status this seems to have. I don’t have a screen protector so there is no popping, but the Sheath top and sides are not parallel with the screen (both bow out slightly, not enough to show the iPhone frame like some have posted though). I can click the sleep button just by putting pressure on the edge of the case above the button.

I don‘t think it’s a widespread issue but it does seem to affect a few people.

I had had no issues with "squishy" sides on my ocean blue sheath for my 12P, but had an issue with sub-par fit on the gray I ordered. I contacted Caudabe asking for a return and they said it sounded like I got a bad one and sent out a new gray sheath. It just arrived and it is like my ocean blue with great fit and no "squishiness" at all along the sides.

So, if you're having these fitment issues, may be worth reaching out to Caudabe to get a replacement.

I had the same thing happen with my first black Sheath. I contacted them to return it and they said keep it and shipped out a replacement that's perfect.

I've been very happy with Caudabe and their customer service.

Also, for those of you that have the 12 Pro Max like me and have been upset Caudabe didn't make the Synthesis for it, I got a response from them a couple of days ago. Apparently, it's coming, and it'll be their first MagSafe compatible case.

I love how it’s always (Liz) we all chat with but that’s awesome!

Liz is great! She's always friendly and funny!

But yeah, sounds like they're bringing the Synthesis with MagSafe soon. I'm excited! It's always been my favorite case in their lineup.

I just wonder if the magnet will be visible as it is somewhat of a clear case (frosted)
