Anyone actually get their free bumper that Apple Care was to send them?

No i believe the only people who were told by applecare that they'd get a free bumper were those who called before around 6/29. This article states that the reps are not to give out free bumpers.

Finally got tracking info. estimated to arrive the 20th. I called the 25th of June so almost a full month. I wasnt sure if i'd ever get it.
Just in time for the announcement tomorrow of Free Bumpers for existing iPhone 4 owners and that future shipments will have a bumper included in the box.
Haha exactly what i was thinking. Very timely. ha but i dont think that the bumpers cure the problem though. I guess we'll find out tomorrow. (I'm more curious now than about the iphone than i was for WWDC)
I wish Apple would drop the Aesthetics obsession at least for the iPhone.
A rubberized back could still look great and be very functional and the "bumper" should really have been an integrated design element.
Mine finally shipped as well, after it was stuck in "Shipment Pending" since June 26.
So, ya...I don't think this is any coincidence that it happened days before the announcement.
Funny thing is my initial order was a repair parts order, which is still showing "shipment pending". This one was a regular order.
I got my bumper last week and my phone Tuesday. I don't have any issues with bars dropping, but my bluetooth doesn't connect automatically
Apple Care is aware of complaints and said a fix is coming in 2 weeks or so, (not the 4.0.1 update of today).
The phone looks COMPLETE with the black bumper and should have been part of the phone from the beginning.
The 1st time I saw the iphone at the AT&T store with the gaps in the metal band looked odd, and this was launch day before all the $h!t hit the fan
I saw a Motorola Droid X today and it is a handsome looking phone and a nice build quality to it, not cheap plastic looking like some phones.

I know what you mean! I picked one up on launch day. If I would have known they'd be giving them out like candy, I would have waited.
Got mine just a few minutes a got. (White) The shipping info said it was to be delivered 7/20. So early. It was here from China in about one day. I do wish the bumper had more of a 'Grip' texture. the plastic is a little slippery. Would have preferred more of a rubberized feel. But oh well its free. Just in time to see what Steve has to say :/

Yea they are not worth $30. I bought a bunch of silicon cases on eBay for $.99 shipped. They would be just as good. (except case isn't good with flash pictures)
