Anyone bought a refurbised Macbook at Hong Kong Apple?

As per the title,

I am seriously tempted by some of the refurbished offers on apple.com/hk

I have read in many threads here that refurbished are a great way of saving money and you get a basically new machine. But I was wondering if this also holds true for the Apple store in HK. So if anyone here has experience please share.

On other thought that has come to my mind: The single biggest risk to a Macbook apart from dropping it seems to be liquid damage. If I buy a refurb, can I be sure that there is no prior liquid damage? Do they actually open all the Macbooks (Air/Pro) before reselling them?

Apple refurbished products are considered by most to be a very good deal, as they're pretty much like buying a new Mac, except for the box.

Apple Certified Refurbished Products are pre-owned Apple products that undergo Apple's stringent refurbishment process prior to being offered for sale. While only some units are returned due to technical issues, all units undergo Apple's stringent quality refurbishment process.

Thanks GGJ, I know in general what refurbs are. But my question is specific to Hong Kong. I am just wondering if the standards there are at the same level as in the United States.

So really nobody here who has bought refurbished in HK??

Yes, Apple refurbs are handled the same way worldwide. There is no difference between refurbs in Hong Kong, the U.S., Europe, etc.
