I'm thinking about picking up the 24" LCD monitor, can anyone comment on satisfaction?

i don't have one, but people here seem to like the Dell monitors. a lot of people have them and you'll frequently see posts about pricing and other questions about it.

if you can get a good deal, go for it.

I've bought a refurb 24" dell lcd before. It worked great until I sold it.

And if I read your post about the speakers correctly, yes you need to plug in the speakers into the jack on the MBP.

I have bought a new Dell 20" monitor and love it, and I recently (last summer) bought a refurb 3100cn color laser printer and love it too. Surely can't beat the price for a fully functional network color laser with full toners for only $249! That's about $100 less than just the toner costs.
