Anyone buy old macbooks

I have a 2011 MacBook Pro. Great condition except it has the logic board failure.
I hate to see it go to waste. Does anyone buy something like this.
 
If this is the 2011 15", I see a few of them on local but and sell sites but they don't sell for much since most of them have a major gpu problem.
