iPad Air 2 - 64GB = $499
iPad Pro 9.7" 128GB = $749

I don't see the 128GB option for Air 2, but yeah, seems like the $499 peice tag is a steal.

What I'll miss out by not buying the Pro:
1. A9x vs A8x. This is a hard decision. CPU: A9x is 1.7x stronger than A8x; GPU: 1.7x stronger (according to http://www.apple.com/ipad/compare). Although stronger is better, I still think A8x is strong enough for a casual user like me.
2. Better camera. Not taking pics with iPad.
3. 4 speakers. Have a speaker and a headphone. No big deal.
4. Better screen. The Air 2 already has a gorgeous screen.
5. Apple pencil. Not gonna use it.
6. Always Siri. Don't even use Siri.

Anyone on the same boat?

It was a serious consideration before the presentation that if it didn't have enough features then I'd go with the Air 2.
But I think Apple put enough new features that I will use into the new one that I'll be opting into the Pro line up. I'm very happy that the LTE options are available across the storage sizes, not just the higher ends.

Got my Air 2 64GB last month for a steal (in context of Apple devices, lol), so I am happy to stick with it until the 9.7inch Pro 2 arrives.

I must say though, this 9.7 Pro is a beast! Glad they gave it the big Pro internals.

The iPad Pro is a nice upgrade over the iPad Air 2, but not $250 better (50%!). If Apple releases a 64GB for $599, then I'd upgrade my 64GB Air 2. Mostly for speed, better screen and the occasion when I do use the speakers -- where'd I leave those headphones, again?

Well if anyone wants to buy a mint condition 128gb gold ipad air 2 let me know. I have a pro 12.9 and never use the smaller one anymore

It looks like the 128GB Air 2 model has been discontinued.

I'm debating this right now, although I like to have the Apple pencile and always on Siri would be great I just can't justify paying $800CDN for a 32 gb iPad... Even worse $1000cdn for 128gb... It's an iPad... It's being priced against computers now. Air 2 had a great price point of $650cdn for 64gb, I don't think I really want to spend 800-1000 for an iPad then 130cdn for the pencile, I don't see the value here. 64gb Mini 4 or air 2 looks to be my next iPad. This new pro looks awesome not taking anything away from it but I feel it's way overpriced! I think they changed the name to pro to charge more, this really should be the air 3 upgrade.
