HomePod Anyone buying HomePods now that they are discontinued?

I got my second one yesterday, and the sound in stereo is simply brilliant.

They are both on my desk as I tend to listen to music through them when working or gaming, so still working out the best placement (in relation to each other and the wall behind them), but even without doing this properly, they sound great. So far I’m very happy.

If this trend started from the beginning, maybe Apple would still be producing them or possibly even a V2 by now. They’re not even on sale. Basic human nature. People generally want an item that’s low in supply.

That, or Apple stopped making them after the first run, as evidence suggests, and waited until their stock was depleted two and a half years later before announcing its fate.

Yes, I think their inventory was pretty much all built at about the same time in 2018. The rush to purchase has been since they were discontinued and they're mostly all sold by now. Ironic really.
