Just curious on how many of you are reserving early to get your new phones from the Apple Store tomorrow. I've been lucky in the past few launches, reserving and picking-up the same day so I will do it again this year.

Don’t think reservation is available in the U.S. You can put a hold on a new iPhone online just based on your Apple ID. No payment required. You pay at pickup.

Only available in Canada, UK, UAE, etc.

So it’s possible to go to the store early and reserve an iPhone in the UK? I ask as I’ve never done it before and don’t really wanna travel there at 7am in the morning to find out I cannot get one.

It's an online page. You should see it appear on the iPhone 16 product page as a top banner.

What’s the difference between this and purchasing for pickup in store? Reserving it means you will buy it in store? Does this mean there is no need to go to the store early in the morning to queue up?

Picking it up in-store, but I did preorder it when pre-orders opened up.

Wasn't sure I would be home when it may deliver during afternoon, and plus was able to choose a fairly early window for pickup, so get it earlier in the day.... get to enjoy it earlier!

By the time the store let me in for preorder, the Pro Max 512 slipped to 2-October delivery so I was able select store pickup and got a 12:15 slot tomorrow on release day. Also getting the clear case and a Belkin invisiGlass 2 that I will get them to install.

I plan to order tomorrow and pick it up.

What time does local Apple Store list availability on their site? (USA location)

The in-store pickup availability opened at 5.50am here in Sydney, Australia (about half an hour ago). Was able to order a 256GB DT PM easily :)

The ‘pre-order’ option was still the only one available, but once you choose the configuration of your phone, it now shows stock available in stores nearby.

Zero commitment. No payment required. It’s another stab at getting day one iPhone for people who missed pre ordering last week. Reservations are far better IMO.

How do you order for store pick up? Do you have to go at open and hope something is there? Or can you just order online and select pick up?

I've purchased a phone on launch day in past years by walking into the store in the afternoon. They'll have a few for sale usually.

UPS notified today that it would be deliver 9/20 by 7pm.
If I had known that noncommital nonsense up front, I would have just picked it up at the store

Have you ever received a package before? It’s not like they ship these priority overnight…
