iPhone 16 Pro Max Anyone Buying In Store Tomorrow?

I've never pre-ordered. I've always waited for a while to see how things shake out with the early units. I bought my 14 Pro Max about a month after the launch and got a crappy battery :/.

I had a similar experience last year. I walked into local Apple store day after launch with no appointment and picked my 15PM in the color/storage combo I wanted.

I worded my post wrong sorry. What I meant was the in-store availability updated on the website around 5.50am.

I didn’t mean to suggest the actual stores are open at that time 😊

I am buying In store, trade in also in store if possible.
 
Apple is telling me they can't cancel my iPhone order beacuse it has shipped, but that it won't deliver until the 27th. When I go to UPS it says delivery is more likely the 23rd.

I leave for the country for two weeks on the 22nd. I can just walk into the store and buy the iphone I want today.

Does anyone know any work arounds? Apple won't let me cancel. Do I just buy the one in store today cash, then return the one that comes next week, then change the one I buy today to be on Apple Upgrade Program?

If you can't tell, I would really like the new iPhone for my trip.

Order online or through the app. Select in store pickup. Select day and time window for pick up. Go to the store and pick it up! I just did that at 6:30am from my couch.

The ‘pre-order’ option was still the only one available, but once you choose the configuration of your phone, it now shows stock available in stores nearby.
