Very few people seem to me going for this phone. I have the 11 Pro Max now and like the look of the more compact camera module (I think the big camera module now looks ridiculous on the 6.1” 13 pro, it looks fine on the Pro Max). I am actually considering getting a blue iPhone 13, matching it with a dark blue case for a pretty sleek look. I would basically only be giving up a telephoto lense with improvements everywhere else from my 11PM (including a lighter phone). Thoughts?

iPhone 13 Anyone buying the regular iPhone 13?

I have the 11 pro and also considering the iPhone 13 non pro.
I don’t use the telephoto that much but still hesitant to come away from the pro line up as always gone this route.
would like Lidar and improved normal lens from the pro but prefer the aluminium and colours of the non pro.
Camera setup does look huge on the pro.

I agree the camera setup looks huge, and that's a visceral reaction so I'm getting past it. For me it's the telephoto lens that is the thing that might make me go with the Pro instead of the mini.
Funny you should notice about there being not much noise about the standard 13. I think the mini was and is the unusual model, the smallest phone in the lineup, and as such has a wow factor or a curiosity factor. But if the 12 mini didn't sell nearly as well as the 12, I would expect the same to happen with the 13 and the 13 mini. Just the mini is more interesting to talk about.

Yep I'm getting the 13. I have the 12 Pro and the battery life is horrible. 85% battery health after one year of use. I don't need all the "Pro" bells and whistles, anyway, and the 13 will be much lighter. The Pro is kinda heavy on the hand after using it for a while. Especially for someone with carpal tunnel like myself.
I would buy the 13 pro before it was presented.
But after the keynote I changed my mind because it was not futurproof. I wait 5G sub6 and mmWaves in France, wifi6e and bluetooth 5.2.
So I will buy the basic 13 to change my SE 2016, wait 1 year until iPhone 14, sell my 13 on second habd’s market with minor loss.
