There are plenty of things that give off radiation to be worried about. iPhones are not high on the list.

I don’t know.. what can Apple really say? It’s an old FCC guideline that they’re probably already lobbying for it to be updated.

Personally, if I’m deciding between two devices and one emits “double“ the radiation, I’d probably buy the one that emits less.

Fake news. If you've been following, all of the results that show cell phones are unsafe come from the same test lab, RF Exposure Lab, in California. The multiple independent test labs over the country that originally tested the devices for certification, and the FCC's internal labs which retested the phones, have all found them to be within regulatory limits.

RF radiation is non-ionizing so can not change DNA molecular structure.
If you are using headset or loudspeaker just do not worry.

I never talk with my mobile to my head and it’s always been a concern for me. My father was a telecoms engineer and two of his ex colleagues had brain tumours above their ears. It was enough of a link for the company to pay out and was blamed on excessive mobile phone use over 30 years. We all love our mobiles but having them stuck to our heads transmitting for long periods is never going to be beneficial.

With 100% use of my phone, I would say about less than 5% of my usage is used for actually talking on it.

This for me as well, for the majority of folk actually using it as a phone will be one of least done things with an iphone these days.

supposedly it was the ultra wide band chip, the new 13.3.1 has an option in the privacy menu to turn it off.. that should fix your worry.

I wouldn't sleep with any smartphone on with the radio active next to my head that's for sure. And if you want to be extra cautious, put it in airplane mode before carrying it in your pocket

Um, no. Even if these were legit, standardized tests, have you ever seen the list of ingredients in a bag of potato chips or in soda? Much worse. Just sayin...

It wasn't a concern to me the first time this radiation issue surfaced 10 years or so ago. It hasn't been a concern to me any year in the past that someone in the media brings it up. It's not a concern now and it won't be next year when someone brings it up again.

Hell, when I was growing up we played with mercury at school, coating pennies to make them look silver. Now when someone breaks a thermometer, they close the school.

No. Putting a phone to your head in 2020 is lunacy.

I don't use my phone in that manner, not from safety concerns but because it's corny.

People are worried about radiation from their cell phone, yet lay out in the Sun or go to tanning parlors, just soaking up all kinds of radiation. I'd worry more about radon gas under your home, than radiation from your phone.

Radiation from using my iPhone is the furthest thing from my and most people's minds.
