Anyone confirm that 10.4.3 screws up Sims 2?

Same Problem Fix was up but pulled

Apple and Macgamefiles had a rev C listed, but it was apparently pulled b/c the update then had a problem recognizing the DVD. My wife got it for her B-Day on Wed. She's not very happy right now!!

I called Aspyr tech support today (Monday, Nov. 14) and found out they are expecting to have a patch up "within a few days".

I was told to keep my eyes peeled for the upcoming "Rev C" patch on the Aspyr site, here: http://www.aspyr.com/games.php/mac/10880/support/

I feel for your wife but tell her it'll be worth the wait - the game is terrific!

P.S. And don't bother downloading the Rev B patch. Someone on another thread claimed it would fix the problem. Out of sheer deperation I tried it (before I called Aspyr) and it doesn't work.

The patch is up, and presumably good to go. I'm downloading it just now, but I'll have to wait another ten or so minutes to try it (my EDGE connection is only 200kb/sec).

I had the same problem. I got the game for christmas and the menu things were all funny. So i got the patch and it worked fine yey, thank you for finding it josepho

You are quite welcome. I would not have been so determined to find it as soon as possible had it not been for my girlfriend who was extremely keen to play it -- so much so that had I not found it, my sanity might have been endangered.
