Just to be clear, Sprint is not an MVNO. They are a Tier 1 internet service provider.

Boost, Virgin Mobile, Ting and a handful of others would be MVNOs using Sprint's network.

MVNOs, by definition, do not have/provide their own network.

I think there was a misunderstanding.
I was just explaining that I'm using sprint but through an MVNO

And for the record I have used sprint directly and through an MVNO and the service is been essentially identical and great both ways (for me anyways).

Ahhhh, OK I got you!

Yeah, the MVNOs rise and fall on the network they use. If Sprint is crap in an area they will be crap too. Conversely, if Sprint is great then they will also be great.

As others have stated, it depends on the coverage in your area. I started working for Sprint in March and switched from AT&T in April. My coverage is identical and I have unlimited data for less than I was paying for a 15gb plan at AT&T. I never drop calls and my data speeds are solid. That being said, Sprint definitely has a long way to go before they can compete with Verizon and AT&T. If you travel a lot, Verizon is really your best bet. Sprint's main issue is with customer care and the inconsistency that you get from rep to rep. I believe Maurice is working hard to fix the company but that takes time.

Bottom line, try it out. See how it works in your area. You get a 28 day trial period for the holidays. If it doesn't work out, return it within 28 days and go back to T-Mobile.

Sprint is still a joke in my area. Maybe they'll get around to upgrading Boston...

Sprint and Apple have to work out a problem on the 6S. My 6S says LTE but gets no data but my friends 6 works just fine in the same location. I'm guessing they have a bug in the modem firmware for the new carrier aggregation feature. Don't know for sure though. For now popped in a T-Mobile SIM sucks to be paying for two networks though.
