I love my SS watch...but saw a space black one and fell in deeper love.

My only real worry is how tough that coating really is. Anyone posted that they were able to scratch it and what was the circumstances?

Thanks for the help.

I have not scratched mine and I don't baby it but I have seen at least one or two that have. The one I recall seems like they hit a wall pretty hard with it but I may have seen it over on Reddit though. They damaged the display at the same time so it was a pretty good hit. The coating so far seems to be pretty tough but I assume over time scratches will happen.

Thanks for that reply!

I just have 4 kids and things get bumped around pretty well. I just was hesitant of the Black because of the price, but have decided that my dislike of shinny things is worse than the feeling of the cost of the Space Black.

This may sound silly, but I have had PLENTY of expensive black items...normally a small scratch can get fixed with a black sharpie and only I know about it :)

One in every crowd :rolleyes: ;);) ...but yes I meant Space Black.

Sorry, I have the space gray and replied based on that. So far the space black has been pretty rare around here. Part of that has been the delay in shipping but also the price maybe. I should have read your text more but was replying based on the title.

If you want to attract the attention of owners of Space Black watches at all, you'd be much better off starting a new thread with the correct title.

Sorry if that now makes two of us "in every crowd", but your title is irrelevant to Space Black owners :)

You are both correct. My bad.

FYI - I was just teasing :)

I have the SS Space Black and I must say this is absolutely the best looking watch of all the Apple Watches. The quality and build are outstanding so far no scratches but like anything I'm sure over time you'll see some usage.

I highly reccommend the SS Space Black model, it's a bite pricey but your paying for that awesome Black Link Band!!! You won't regret spending the money believe me!

I am not a normal fan of very heavy watches. Is the link band extremely heavy?
