Thinking to dive in with an iPad purely for creativity and reading books as my laptop always gets bunged up with work and.. everything. Such a constant mess.

I'm just worried that touch makes it hard to to view editing as I don't know how good the apps are and also if the 11inch is maybe too small making it tricky to hit buttons on these more complicated apps etc. Maybe it's all unfounded but thought I'd ask!

I use a couple year old iPad Pro and iMovie. Apple and other sells a cover with integrated keyboard that makes editing life easier. Editing on laptop is easier but amazing things can be done with iPad, even iPhone. The creativity is with the individual not the machine.

iMovie is pretty good, and LumaFusion is the other main one that offers more features/capabilities. I've only done very limited video stuff on my iPad(s), but others find the pencil to be very helpful for video apps (and I agree).

I have done quiet a few rough edits on my pro using Luma Fusion. I can say that it works well for the screen size and is very performant on the 11inch pro. I haven't done any final edits on it as I transfer into FCP for that.

I use LumaFusion on my iPad mini, iPad Pro 11, MacBook Pro M1 and sometimes iPhone. It is faster than FCPX for some tasks and is really powerful on Apple devices.

it supports many 3rd party plugins, cloud services, and is really stable / fast
