iPad Pro Anyone else actually enjoying their M1 iPad Pro?

I haven't been in that situation with my iPad yet though. In emergency situations like that my phone is usually nearby or in hand. If I am prepared I pull out the Nikon!

What if you don’t have a camera and want to take a photo of your phone?

I had the 12.9 8gb for a week and returned. My 2nd gen ipad pro 12.9 is still ok , battery life is great and will wait until next pro with OLED screen

I had the 1st gen 12.9" and found it too big so have had the smaller models ever since. This time around I thought I would try the 12.9" again and wow, I love it! I then sold my 2020 11" pro. The 12.9" doesn't seem too big at all.

The new iPad factor has worn off after 3 weeks of use but definitely still enjoying every bit of it. Glad I stayed with the 12.9 and feel the only thing I’m giving up with the 11 is a bit more portability. It’s been used in tablet mode since day one and now doesn’t feel so cumbersome to use as a tablet. Screen blooming and edge shadows aside, it’s is still the best screen on an iPad to date.

12.9" since release. Coming from a 9.7" Pro that's still serving my kids well.

I love this thing, it's the best portable computer I ever owned and I'm constantly looking for reasons to use it

Yeah, pretty much. I fell into the "iPadOS 15 is going to be mindblowingly amazing and is going to fully utilize the M1" trap, but even though I still could have returned it after the lackluster keynote, I decided to stick with it. After all, hey, maybe iPadOS 16 will be spectacular! 🙂

Either way you got a damn good device, it just seems a lot of folks(especially us tech enthusiasts) tend to second think themselves and then need to justify yet they have bought a device that they will probably be happy with for years to come.

I just don't get the need to justify the purchase. Do people need to justify the purchase of vehicles exceeding the need of simple transportation? Or boats or any other recreational vehicle? Or any purchase that is solely for entertainment or enjoyment? These seem to be in a special category where you're open to criticism if your justification isn't "adequate" to meet some subjective criteria.

Exactly my thoughts, why do you ever need to justify it? I guess it’s just our human side, maybe a bit of guilt? I know people who have had to try justify high priced purchases like luxury or exotic cars and holiday homes but then they hop into it or go stay there for a weekend and they remember why they got it. Life is short, enjoy the spoils of your labour.

Coming from a 2nd gen 12.9 pro, I am loving mine. Screen is perfect and gorgeous. Faster by far then my old pro. Got cellular this time and enjoying it where WiFi isn’t or out. Winner in my book!
