I think that we all thought we would get our watches on 4/24 if we were in the initial delivery window (like myself). However, it is quite clear that not only did some people not get them, but A LOT of people didn't get them.

Now having said that, despite not getting it today and being discouraged...I honestly thought that Monday would be my day...I mean I got a confirmation email at XX:04:36 for a SB Sport 42mm and figured Monday would be the latest we would get them...

Now...I just don't know...there was no activity today and I honestly don't foresee anything happening during the weekend....having said that when do you think we will start seeing some shipments occur again? Will it be Monday night, Tuesday...or will it actually take into the following week to get the orders out!?

Also--do we think they will continue to use next day air now that the initial launch day orders have been delivered? I think they will but if they switch to ground or 3 day select that could extend times even further!!!

What it really comes down to is what watch/band configuration you ordered. I hope to see movement over the weekend, but my combo seems to be one of the problematic ones.

42 SS BCB
4/10 @ 12:11 am PST (Email confirmation)
EOD 4/22 @ 8 pm PST
Still processing
Not Charged

Very very very few of these configurations have made it out, at least from what I have seen.

yeah i've been convinced of this since the EOD and part of me is even thinking just what if they give me a june schedule i know i shouldn't think that way but with the order stuck in limbo still processing kinda hard not to.

Seems possible at this point. The 42 mm SG / black sport band, for example, was available for about four minutes for 4/24 window (call it 12:01-12:05 PDT). Maybe the first two minutes' worth of those have shipped. Since then, Apple only seems to process about TEN SECONDS' worth of orders of this configuration each DAY. At that rate it'll take many more days before the first FOUR MINUTES' worth of orders for that configuration are shipped.

(Source: Many days spent on the Space Gray thread.)

Meanwhile, pretty sure no Pink sport bands have shipped at all.

Apple botched this launch. At this point I don't care now. When it arrives it arrives and I'll be happy then.

That's how I feel. I still want the watch but a lot of the excitement behind it has completely dissipated and not even because I couldn't have it day one.

No one was promised 4/24. First group was promised 4/24 to 5/8. Still two weeks to go before their deadline.

And this is why future Apple launches will be like this. Because people all over the forums are just accepting this happily.

Just tell me 5/9 and be done with it. I won't get up at 3AM. If a model is not available launch day, don't sell it. Pink in my case.

Actually, I'd wager to say that with so many people still in the processing phase that anyone who actually received a watch today actually WAS promised a watch 4/24 and just didn't know it.

No one (at least that has posted here) got just a 4/24 date. I think that's been pointed out time and time again.

I understand Apple didn't tell anyone they would have it today when they ordered.

The entire point of my post was to simply say that anyone with an Apple watch today received a 4/24 date unofficially, meaning Apple did promise a watch to those people for 4/24, only those people didn't know that in advance.

4/24-5/8 is in no way promising someone something, officially or "unofficially"

I'm sure I'm much more than the 200th person to say that, yet people cannot get it into their heads.

Wish I worked for Apple.

If you want to get technical, Apple promised EVERYONE that SOMEONE would have a watch between 4/24 and 5/8.

Today is 4/24. A lot of people have watches. Apple kept their promise.

Overall I'm satisfied with Apple's new launch method. But I'm not averse to change.

As someone who got an email at 12:04:10 (the tail end of the 4/24-5/8 group), I've resigned myself to getting it on May 8th. The fact that people who ordered the exact same model way after me and received their watches already bugs me a bit though.

I wish you'd get it sooner, and you may.

A long time Apple customer, getting into acceptance of "The Apple Way" takes the edge off their quirks.

It has- everyone that said they got 4/24 actually was given 4/24-5/8.

Glad I ordered what I did. Mine came today.

Well the way Pink Sport Band watches have not moved at all, I'm resigned that they're the last card in the deck to be played.

If it isn't delivered by 5/8 then there will be a whole bunch of real angry folks.

Apple forgot the first rule of marketing--Don't promise what you can't deliver...
