I have a 16gb 3gs and as of a couple days ago when I turn the ringer off to vibrate mode it still rings. It also shows the little bell that pops up without the line through it so it still thinks its in ring mode.
When I push the tab up the slightest bit but not into ring mode it then goes into silent/vibrate mode and the symbol appears with the line through it. But as soon as I let it go all the way back down it goes back into ring mode.
