i don’t know, i love phone and it’s everything I’ve expected and more. I guess feeling a lil weird because I’m craving for something now, is the novelty gone? The chase is gone and I got the phone... what’s next? Now i can’t wait for the next iPhone release which is next year. . Anyone else feel the same way?

Hopefully this makes you look back, and reflect on how pointless all your anger was when you thought you were getting the phone late.

Not even a little but I've only had mine for a couple of days. I know the feeling though. I recommend going to Best Buy, buying one of the shiny latest and greatest Androids and putting your SIM card in there for a set number of days within the return period. Don't take it out until you've reached your goal number of days. When you go back to your iPhone and return the Android, you'll realize how great iOS is and the boredom will be gone, temporarily at least.

On the other hand, said Android device may win you over and you can stick with that. Sadly, it's only a matter of time before that one will seem boring as well.

No, the phone is a tool that I use to accomplish tasks, be they keeping in contact with my family, or interacting with work.

yeah I have games as well, but overall its something that has a purpose.

Now i can’t wait for the next iPhone release which is next year.
seems like you're caught up in having consumerism fill a void in that you use the acquisition of a product (or products) to make you feel good which is not something you should look to do.

It wasn’t pointless I was running out of principle and I was coming from a legit place.

Well the wait is always a better high than having the phone. But as more apps take advantage of the true depth camera, AR capabilities and such, things will get more exciting. We're only 2 weeks past release

Yah I know. I guess tech gadgets like the iPhone really gets me going. As everyone witnessed with me ranting of getting it on the first day.. lols. But yea I agree with you man. The phone is such an integral part of my life I can get needy sometimes.

Wanting is sometimes way more intense that having.
Right! True statement. It’s like, now what? lol

I know man. Looking forward to unlock the capabilities of this phone.

It could be iOS. I mean the phone is physically much different than anything Apple has ever released before. But the software is still much the same. Maybe that’s what’s making you feel bored of your phone. Personally, I love my iPhone 10. The camera, design, screen....absolutely love it. I’d give iOS 11 more props, if it didn’t crash so damn much

The phone makers are also getting desperate in an attempt to make us feel we need a new phone.

Animojis are a prime example.

Which version are you on? I'm on the latest beta of 11.2 and I haven't had a single crash.

After the novelty of the gesture swipes or Animoji, it becomes that way. You realize it's like using another iPhone with the same UI scheme for a decade but with gestures. It's like that way for ANY phone. Boredom always sinks in.

The phone itself gets used pretty much all day and evening, as does the camera...I use it a lot for work...and I've takin some kick ass pics so far!

I think the novelty is maybe what your talking about, right now it's just another phone to me...that wore off in a few short days, which IMO is good because means I'm fairly busy and also that I really have nothing to complain about for the most part....phone kind of just eased into my world and I'm really not missing the heft of carrying a plus model around...so I guess Good job Apple!

LOL !!
Completely agree with you - Getting a new gadget like X was never a 'need' for anyone but a thrill chase. No wonder it has faded away.
The only solution is for Apple to create phones that can morph into new designs !!:p

Not really. I'm getting more use out of apps like Clips, Music Memos, GarageBand, Keynote, Pages, and of course, Camera.
