As for spill naysayers, a quick search for the term "spill", in just this forum, netted 6 results where the last update falls in this month. So yea, people do drink and Air.

Nobody is arguing that a number of people have spilled - I'm just not sure how it happens. I drink coffee in the morning when I am using my MBA, but don't hover the cup over the keyboard when I drink and have never spilled anything on any keyboard - maybe I'd change my mind if I had an accident.

If yar not three years old you probably don't need a keyboard cover. I drink all the time when I'm using my MBP, and after 2 years not one spillage.

Almost all enterprise-grade notebooks from various manufacturers (Thinkpads, Latitudes, etc...) have spill-resistant keyboards. I would say those companies know why they have designed them that way.

It's funny, I was going to say that the reason the Moshi feels better for typing was because it is thinner than others I've tried. If the Rearth cover is thinner, I may look into it. For now, I am very pleased with the Moshi.

I used the Rearth on a recent trip (I wanted it for the plane ride). It was fine and I quickly got used to it. I did remove it once I got home, but will use it again on a plane.

i was debating to cease using the rearth keyboard cover this weekend since i kinda wanted the feeling of typing on the actual keyboard again, but then after witnessing some girl who spilled her bottled water over her macbook pro today during lecture, I'm definitely keeping this on for at least a bit longer, lol.

Is it true that the MBA relies on the spaces around the keys for ventilation? I'm considering getting a keyboard cover after a little scare I had last night (which involved alcohol)

If so, which ones are compatible with the 13" air? I'm seeing that most are too thick for the lid to close properly. I guess I'm willing to just take it off whenever I have to close the lid if I have to. I might just get the one on Amazon that only costs $2.64 with free shipping...

It vents from the hinge but you can feel the heat coming out from the top corner of the keyboard.

Yes, that's where the air comes out. Can you tell me where does it come IN, if not through the keyboard?

Dude, it does not go in through the keyboard. If it did then you wouldn't be able to do clamshell mode, would you? And if you look closely at the hinge you'll see there are a lot of vents there: The heat comes in through the top of the hinge and exits at the bottom of the hinge.
