I have been getting more frequent spinning beach balls ever since I upgraded to Safari 7.0.3. I don't have any other error messages and the beach balls only ever seem to occur when using Safari and nothing else of note seems to be spiking in the Activity Monitor.

    Anyone else having this problem?

My 2008 MacBookPro has gotten really slow lately. I don't know what's causing it. Can't pin it down to just a Safari update but, yes, I have a lot of random stalls now while trying to use Safari.

Welp, never mind, false alarm. Turns out I was looking in the wrong place for my system logs, and I subsequently realized my problems are caused by hard disk I/O errors.
