So due to work travel I either need to get one of these MBP before Nov 5th or I will be getting it in the new year. I Have a order in that says it is due Nov 18th hoping it gets moved up. However I plan on getting in line to try and score on in store. I am looking for a 16" max with 64gb memory and 4tb hard drive.

lol good luck finding that SKU in store.
Yeah I know its a long shot but I figured worth it since I won't see it for a few months it not. I think they should have one completely maxed out 16" that I might go for.

What is the official release date for the new MBPs?

EDIT: Tue.26.Oct

You could go to the store early and monitor the stock with the app. If that doesn't work, you have a fallback.

I have a store that is a 5 min drive away from me so no big deal to line up. Also have another that is about a hour drive that I can monitor via the app.

I didn’t think apple would have stock on launch day. Do you think they would have a model with 32gb of ram, or would they be only the models listed on the site?

I hope they have something other than base model stock. I’d really like the m1 max with 32gb of ram. Without going all in for 3499

Best Buy has LOTS of base units for pickup Tuesday. Pretty funny really, considering Apple is almost into 2022 for new orders.

But it's not unusual.

I hope my apple store will be the same.

Never had to line up for a MacBook drop, they always have tons available

Walked in and got my 2019 16 inch like 5 hours after launch
Guy at my local store said as much, they always get tons of preconfigured units

Its NOT just base units, it’s base units AND the other preconfigured models, such as the 16 inch max, 10/16 core 14 inch etc.

Usually, they carry the pre-configured models, so like what you see on the site without making any changes.

I have some work that I can do while I wait so ill probably get there around 8am. I haven't lined up for a launch device since the iPhone 6. kinda miss the comradeship when lining up. I would arrive around midnight for iPhone launches and was usually within the first 10 in line.
