What a joke, mine will be delivered the 16th.

You know, I remember the days when you would preorder an iPhone and it would be delivered on the day it ships.I respected that approach, cause everyone got it the same day and would talk about it, generate buzz.

All they had to do is have a preorder the Friday before. Then people wouldn't have been bogging down their servers in the midst of the Watch ordering too.

Because of the design of Apple products, I don't like this approach to push people to only buy online, it rids the opportunity for people to truly see how beautiful their products are in store.

You can buy the new products in the store, just have to wait a few weeks. Believe it or not, the people on this forum who order Apple stuff at midnight and who want everything the second its announced are a VERY small percentage of consumers. Most my friends would look at me like I was nuts when I would tell them about ordering at midnight or waiting in line 8 hours for an iPhone. They are like dude, its just a phone. The vast majority of consumers have no problem walking into an Apple store and buying a Macbook April 24th instead of April 10th. Apple is doing this to cut down on scalpers and insane lines and crowds at their stores.

I agree and disagree. When Apple sells millions of phones with the first 3 days of a preorder, that's not a small percentage of consumers. Also, and the watch is a good example, if you don't preorder, you could be waiting months to get one. If you are very interested in getting anything apple, if you don't preorder then you will be waiting a long time for that item. There are a lot of people non apple related that are dead set on gettin things. I remember gamers with Xbox 360; PS3 and 4 sleeping overnight to get one. But I agree it's nice it's reducing scalpers but people are still gonna sell them on eBay.
