Hasn't had any issues? I got my 5 opening day last year by sprint and I never had a problem with it at all, no blown speakers, no charging issues, no cracked glass, nothing.

I gotta give it to apple when it comes to hardware, this is some very reliable hardware with little problems.

My boy still has his launch day 4s flawless with no issues...

I'm bored of iphone and eager to try a new os but one of the reasons I don't switch is the quality of apple ipones. I've had issues before with htc and other companies.

What exactly is the problem?

I owned every iPhone released so far (waiting to decide if I'll skip the 5s), and the only problem I had was the home button on the iPhone 4.
The send me a replacing unit via ups in three days from my call.

I don't know about 5s, but my next phone surely will be an iPhone.

My launch day 4 and 5 both had the lock/unlock button stop working. My wife's launch day 5 also had it happen. They were never dropped. Mine was replaced for free both times, so it's no big deal.

Why is that surprising to you? The vast majority of iphones are in perfect working condition. Only a small percentage of them have issues.

So far, I've had no issues with my iPhone 5. It's only at the end of year one though for me.

As I recall, my previous two iPhones had to be replaced in year two for various reasons.

I got my Sprint iPhone 5 (black) direct from Apple (pre-ordered). I don't have it anymore because it was replaced in October of last year because of a mic issue.

However, the replacement has been rock solid with no issues. Other than minor wear and the dings I've given it because I'm careless (nothing big, just some small nicks) it's held up well. No scratches front or back.

Launch day Verizon iPhone 5 32GB white here. Using on my AT&T account (as I've noted a thousand and one times on the boards in various threads). Phone works beautiful as the day I first got it, and no problems to note besides some imperfections on the chamfer due to wear. It's the first white iPhone I've ever owned, and I still love using it. As long as it is jailbroken, of course.

My first iPhone (3G) had a loose screen connector. Swapped right away. Since then the others (all on launch) were perfecto. iPhone 4, 4S, 5 & 5S

Darn good considering how many are made.

My launch day iPhone 5 was flawless until recently. The battery was getting tired. Apple replaced the battery for me today. No issues.

I got it a week after launch. I have yet to have any issues with it. I have drop the phone a few times and it's holding up pretty good. The upper plastic part is cracked, probably from the drops, but besides that everything is in working condition.

I'm on my 3rd iPhone 5 since launch day. 2 Days into ownership I noticed that unless I was sitting right next to my router my iPhone wasn't able to connect to my wifi. Swapped it out for a replacement phone that had strong wifi but the battery never seemed right to me. Last weekend I went back to the apple store and the genius said the battery only had 40% of the design capacity.

So now I'm on my 3rd iPhone, I've owned almost every gen except the 3G and this is the first iPhone that I've had problems with.

My iPhone 4's wifi stopped working and got it swapped. 4S is flawless but recently got battery replaced under AppleCare. iPhone 5... dust in camera lens for months but I haven't got the time to head to the nearest Apple store to get it swapped/fixed. Not obvious on pictures unless i'm taking pictures facing the sun. :(

Yestarday my 2nd replacement arrived. I had 3 iPhone 5's in 12 months.

Bought the first iPhone 5 on November 2, 2012. Romania launch day.
Took it to my carrier on March 21, 2013 for a faulty lock button and they gave me a perfect refurbished unit (this is the second phone).
All good until a couple of weeks ago when the display started showing some weird green lines on the edge of the display so I went yesterday (November 9, 2013) to my carrier for another exchange. They gave me another perfect refurbished unit (this is the 3rd iPhone - and it came with iOS 6.0.1 wow !).
I'm hoping this one will last.
The cool part is that in Romania you have a 2 year warranty for iPhones and iPads (if you buy them from our carriers) so if this one has a problem too I am not worried.

Still using my iPhone 5 launch day unit with zero issues. The iPhone 4 I got at launch did start to develope an unresponsive home button just before I got the 5.

My wife's 5 has had zero issues and her 4 was fine for two years. My first 4s had dead pixels which I got replaced right away. The next one worked great for about a year but had to get the battery replaced. A few months later the wifi stopped working and the phone was replaced again. My current 4s has been working the best out of all of them, no problems after six month and still a few months left on Apple care.
