I just can't do it. If I put the two fingers entirely over the screen, the screen will turn off.

If I put the two fingers at the bottom half of the screen, it'll just do scribbles.

What am I doing wrong? Does it have to come from a certain direction?

Are you trying to send your heartbeat to someone else? If so, yes, it's two fingers ONCE you hit the digital touch message screen for that person.

If you are trying to measure your heartbeat, swipe up from your time face, and scroll to the side until you get to the heart beat screen. Takes about 15 seconds, but you do not have to touch the screen.

Yes i'm at the drawing screen. I put my two finger there, but the watch just recognize the touches as scribbles. It sends off random sketches

If your two fingers don't hit at exactly the same time, it thinks you are drawing. Place your two fingers on the screen and press just a little bit.

Do I have to apply pressure, like a force touch?

Still doesnt work, should I return the watch? Is this a hardware issue?

I don't think it is... Do you know someone else with an Apple Watch? Maybe try it on theirs, or have them try it on yours.

It doesn't always work right for me, either.

It's not just you.

I can get it to work, but it's unreliable.

Mine kept drawing scribbles and then the person I was sending it to asked me why I sent my heartbeat 4 times. :D

Honestly Digital Touch is entirely stupid. It has potential, don't get me wrong, but the ridiculous animations just seem so juvenile and un-Apple.

Thank god, I wonder if its hardware dependent? I have a bad watch etc

I don't think so. I think it's user dependent. LOL.

You and I just have weird fingers. It's okay. I think this makes us special.

I figure I'll get the hang of it eventually. And they might improve the software to make it less finicky.

Fear not.

Mine does work, but I have to try it several times first.

When i pressed hard it would send scribbles but if you gently press your fingers on the screen the heartbeat usually shows up.
